Castrations exhibition comprises a solid section of works. It is a submerging, an exercise
and a genuine personal exposition. It focuses on that process unfolding in the moment
of a violent and sudden amputation and deprivation, on the suspension of desire's fulfillment
in the face of Law. It follows desire’s trail from intensification to suppression, right up
to the amputation of urges that derive from it. It deals with threats and fears of castration,
inadequacy, the inheritance of sins and failings. These works mark courses that may lead to
sublimation or perversion. For the needs of this exhibition, mixed media, like video, photography
and constructions, have been used.
